Swarovski Crystals are Austrian lead crystal beads. Each bead is cut to an extremely high level of precision by a machine initially invented by Daniel Swarovski in 1892. The lead content in Swarovski Crystals makes them heavier than standard glass crystals. It also increases the index of refraction which makes them sparkle like diamonds when they come into contact with light.
